Women in science

Compilation of women from different minorities that were crucial to history but they weren't recognized. I did this project because I found that there was a lacking of women reference in the science history taught at schools.

Tu Youyou
Is a Chinese pharmaceutical chemist and malariologist who discovered artemisinin (also known as qīnghāosù 青蒿素) and dihydroartemisinin, used to treat malaria.

Was an Indian botanist who worked on plant breeding, cytogenetics and phytogeography. Her most notable work involved studies on sugarcane and the eggplant (brinjal).
