In November, I launched the #casualportraitchallenge as a way to explore a more expressive and loose approach to portrait illustration. This is a curated selection of the portraits I created during the challenge, inspired by themes from fashion, art, cinema, and music.
Each portrait is rendered in striking black and white, set against a playful pink background. By experimenting with transparencies and bold, expressive strokes, I aimed to capture the essence of each subject with simplicity and character.
